NOTD; Nail art?

Just a quick post today folks to show you some nails I did. I've had these little gems for so many months and never used them so I decided it was time! I got them off ebay for a couple of pence I'm sure and there is someridiculous number of gems in there, 500 or 1000, I can't remember for sure. Pretty good deal I'd say!

The purple, I've spoken about before in this post, I've used it a few times since getting it and for the most part I'm pleased with it. It does go on a bit streaky and chip rather easily but both those things can be stopped by putting more coats on and a good top coat!

They're not great but they're not crap either. Well, I don't think they are at least.

NOTD; Plums and Oranges

I posted earlier about these polishes as part of my wee poundland treat to myself. I now present the look I created with them. I am so so bad at doing my nails but practice makes perfect! :)

Couldn't decide if I should have the orange or plum as the accent nail so swapped it around on both hands. Bit of an odd look but I like it this way!

Treating myself

As the title suggests, I treated myself yesterday and now I'm here to talk about the things I bought!
Some are pretty self explanatory, others I will talk a bit more about.
Nail Polish Remover Pads

I bought these simply because I tend to find nail polish remover really dries out my nails and makes them look horrible! Hoping these pads do a bit of a better job. If these aren't up to scratch, I'll have to keep an eye out for the remover pots that you dip your fingers in. I've heard good things about them!

Nail Polish

My wee nail polish collection is growing, and so it should! There are so many different shades out there by different companies. It's hard trying to decide what colour to do my nails some morning!
I chose the Revlon polish out poundland (there's a surprise!) and the Missguided polish came with this months Cosmopolitan.

The Revlon polish is shade 799 Plum Night and I'm not 100% sure but I belive the Missguided is called Missmatch. There are no other indicators towards shade number or name.

Palmolive Anti-Dandruff Shampoo

I absolutely love this shampoo and the bottle I had was finished. So I bought another! This stuff works wonders on my hair, I don't think I'll be looking out for any other shampoos for a while.

Collection 2000 Colour Intense Trio

I know, I know, I have way too many eyeshadows already but I couldn't resist these two trios. They came packaged together so it was both of them for £1 If that's not a bargain, I don't know what is!

Lovely delicate looking colours but I need to invest in a primer and see what they are like combined with that.

St. Ives Apricot Scrub

So I received a 7ml sample of this a while back (I was sure I posted about it but can't find it!) Used it as soon as I got it and fell in love. I'm always wary about using scrubs as I have quite delicate skin, as soon as I tried this I knew I would have to buy it. The scrubbing beads aren't too harsh on my skin, it smells divine and leaves you with lovely soft, fresh skin!

I'm going to shock you all, but I didn't get this from poundland! I was out getting my fortnightly shop and took a wander up the skincare aisle in Tesco. Saw this and remembered I had a £1 off voucher in my purse (god bless coupons!) With the voucher, this only cost me £2.99, not too much to break the bank and for such a lovely product as well!

I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for more St Ives products.

Teeny Greeny Binkini nails!

Another treat from mother dearest, this beauty, as with most Sally Hansen products I will post about was found in my go to shop, Poundland! I had a wee browse of the world wide web and have discovered the Xtreme Wear comes in more colours, more colours that I love and will have to buy somehow!

I love the name, Teeny Greeny Bikini! It's so cute and summery sounding. Not that I'd ever wear a teeny greeny bikini, but I like it all the same!

My all time favourite thing about Sally Hansen polishes are the brushes. Long, thin and great coverage. Amazing! However, getting an up close picture in detail is very difficult. I must improve my photography skills!

From top to bottom; 4 coats, 3 coats, 2 coats, 1 coat
As you can see from the picture above, it takes at least 3 coats to become fully opaque. I prefer polish like this so any time I wear this polish it will be 3 or 4 coats each time. It's a reasonable sized bottle though, 11.8ml, so it will last quite a wee while.

I am the first to admit that my nails are in shocking condition! I need to find an amazing hand cream, remember to keep using my ridge filler and just generally take better care of my hands! Need to save up some pennies and maybe go to a wee nail lady, get myself a manicure!

Cheap makeup - friend or foe?

Louis was a lovely boyfriend today and bought me these things from poundland after I fell in love with them! I think poundland can be fantastic for picking up a bargain, especially make up wise. I've purchased Rimmel and Sally Hansen products from there before, just had to rummage for a bit! It can be hit and miss sometimes but it must just depend when they get deliveries and certain products in. Long story short, I love poundland! ;)

The packaging for poundland makeup is, understandably very basic. All the Chit Chat products below are stuck to a piece of cardboard with a plastic sleeve over it. On the back of this plastic sleeve is the sticker with all the products ingredients and such.

Now, onto the products. The two polishes... I love green and purple, especially when put together! Both these shades look so vibrant and wow, I think they'll look great on their own or together! The colours on the packaging simply state they are lime and purple. I've never tried Chit Chat polish but I'm really looking forward to! These are both 12ml bottles for £1 each and have a shelf live of 18months according to the packaging.

Deep cleansing nose strips, the past week or so, I've been noticing that the pores on my nose are horrendous! No matter what exfoliator, soap, scrub, anything I use, they won't go away! If these don't work I'll need to try and steam clean my face!

Now these next two products, they look awfully similar don't they! I'm sure Benefit has some products like this ;) These were actually the first items I spotted and no wonder. Right now I don't have £23.50 to spend on the Benefit products (I hope to one day!) so for now, £1 products will do me just fine!! These are both 12ml bottles too with a shelf life of 24 months. I really love the highlighter, I can see me using that quite often. The cheek tint, I'm not too sure about, its looking rather purpley/pink on my arm right now from where I swatched it. Maybe I didn't rub it in quick enough or that's just the colour it comes out as, I'll try it on my cheeks another day and write up a post. While writing this, I actually just dabbed some on my lips to see what it was like and I love that!!

I'm now off to wash my face and deep cleanse my nose. Hope you enjoyed reading!
Do you use Chit Chat products or would you use them? How do you feel about cheap makeup?

NOTD: Need improvement!

I really need to work on doing my nails, I always think they look so messy! Any tips for anything to do with painting nails, I will greatly appreciate!

The colours used are N.Y.C In a New York Minute quick dry nail polish in 221 Spring Street and Bourjois 1 Seconde with fan effect brush in shade #15? This is the only thing that I can see on the bottle that points toward a shade.

I love both these colours so thought I'd try them together. Think they look quite nice actually. I can't find my top coat so unfortunately this look won't last long but it was fun doing it!

Thank you TK Maxx!

Finally decided to go in and use my five pound gift card that I won from Facebook. Picked up this wee three pack for £7.99 It had an RRP of £21.67 so I'd say I got a good deal!

Bourjois 1 seconde in shade 15 I think. Can't see anything else pointing towards a name or colour. I love the fan effect brush on this polish, makes applying so easy! I'll definitely be purchasing more shades!
Bourjois eyeshadow shade 25 Argent. I love this shade on its own but I'm looking forward to seeing how it blends with other coloues.
Une lipstick in L20. I don't tend to go for lipsticks with brown tones in them so I was q bit skeptical about trying this, however I really like the colour on! The actual lipstick doesn't go on too great, its quite thin. I'm hoping to get a good lip brush soon to see how it sits after building it up.

All in all, I'm quite pleased with these products. I'll need to remember TK Maxx for the future!

Nails in daylight

I woke up this morning to find my nails were a lot brighter than I thought they were and I still love this polish that Sarah let me use!

I'm still scared of breaking these nails as I am awfy clumsy but let's see how long they last.

What's your new favourite polish? What's your all time favourite polish?

NOTD; New Favourite Colour!

Again, apologies for the awful phone pictures but I am in love with these nails. Had to share them with you! Hope you like them too :)

Look ma, I painted my nails!

Having a wee rummage through my polishes and decide to give my nails a wee lick of paint :)

I wanted to try out the Technic crackle polish as I'd used it once before and wasn't too impressed with it. Can't decide if I like it with this blue or not.

One of my least favourite things about crackle polishes is the matte effect you get after they have dried so I just stick a clear top coat over it so it's nice and shiny. I prefer shiny to matte nails. What about you?

Should have just left my nails like this, think they look much nicer. Ah well, trial and error!

Whats your favourite polish these days? What's your go to polish? What have you heard rave reviews about but not had the chance to try? Let me know!
