Rimmel bundle

Hello bloggers! I'm back and I have a few posts lined up, the first of these being this wee Rimmel bundle I found in TK Maxx for £7.99 the RRP being over £20!

The items are Glam'Eyes Lash Flirt volume and lift mascara in shade 001 Black, Moisture Renew lipstick in shade 690 Mocha Cream and Glam'Eyes Quad Eye Shadow in 023 Beauty Spells.

So I've not had the chance to try out these out yet so this is just my first impressions and I also have to apologise for the pictures, camera was not playing ball today!

I've said before in this post that I'm still not sure which colour lipstick to go for but I've managed to buy a shade that's quite similar to the UNE. So I must be starting to like browny/reddy tones at least (nothing beats a nice red lip however, that will always be my favourite)

So the shade isn't identical to the UNE lipstick from the linked post but they are similar enough that I thought of it as soon as I opened the Rimmel lipstick. It feels quite soft and creamy, so I'm assuming it will be quite nourishing on the lips.

I fell in love with this mascara as soon as I opened it! I'm such a fan of bristle brushes, I feel like they coat my lashes so much better and you get more life from them as there are usually those 'de-clumpers'? that get rid of excess product.

The bristles on this brush are actually different sizes, as you can see from the two pictures. Longer bristles below and shorter ones above, I'm hoping this means all my lashes get evenly coated. I'm really looking forward to trying this!

I love the colours in this quad but this picture is doing it no justice whatsoever! Starting at the top and working clockwise, the colours are grey, a light lilac, black and a darker purple. All the colours have a slight shimmer to them, the blacks beings more obvious looking.

There is a little guide on the back of the palette, giving the shades colours and then with a picture of an eye, showing you how to apply the colours. There are two looks given on the back called Subtle (using only 2 shades) and London (using all four shades). I'll give both a look but I'm not really one for subtle eye makeup.

All in all, I'm really pleased with this bundle and I can't wait to try all the things! Usually if I get groups of things like this there is at least one thing I'm not sure about but not this time! With a saving of more than £20 as well, that's just the icing on the cake!

Rimmel Stir It up

Ok, just look at this... It's bleeding gorgeous! As soon as I saw this I had to have it. And guess where I found it? POUNDLAND...again.

I've managed to borrow Louis' camera and laptop so I can get some decent pictures up, meaning you guys can see it properly. I have to share it with you all!
In all my excitement, I forgot to take a picture of the back of the eyeshadow, sorry! It's shade 800 and it's called No Way! 4g pot and of course it cost £1 :D

I love all the different shades that combine together to make up this eyeshadow, white, black, grey and blue with a splash of glitter thrown in for good measure.

It's a great combination, making for a stunning eyeshadow. So much so that I didn't want to use it. I need to stop thinking like that though, sure it's pretty but it'll look prettier on!

Once combined and swatched you get a beautiful shade! A lovely dark grey/blue with the hints of darker and lighter shades coming in and a sprinkling of glitter. The texture as well is amazing! It feels quite creamy and thick but goes on like a powder. Odd but fantastic.

I'm marking this down as another poundland bargain of the week, month, year, century, forever?!

What do you think?

Sneaky mascara!

So I bought Scandaleyes back when it had first come out and got it for £4.99 if I'm remembering correctly. Since buying it, it has hidden from me at every opportunity! I can go weeks without it then it pops up somewhere. This morning I stuck my hand down the side of the couch to find the remote and pulled out.... well the remote and... my beloved mascara. Happy days!

So I love this mascara, simply put, its amazing! I don't have the greatest 'naked' lashes and this just adds so much oomph/ooh-la-la. I feel so fabulous when I know I'm wearing it! It has a nice big brush that gives your lashes a nice coating of the wonderful feeling mascara.

It adds so much length, volume and colour to my lashes without being heavy or clumpy. In my opinion its quite a versatile mascara, it can be worn day or night. For a day lash I'll wear the mascara and not put anything else on my eyes, as the pictures show below. I think the mascara is enough by itself for daywear. For a night look, I'd wear the mascara with shadow and liner, a dark smokey look would probably go great with it!

So all in all, a big thumbs up from me!

Do you use Scandaleyes? What's your wonder mascara?

Perfume

I got Flower By Kenzo first. It was a Christmas gift from my mother. I think I must have been about 14 or 15. I felt so grown up, having a ladies perfume not a teenage one (See bottom of post for my 'teen perfume') It smelled and still smells divine and the bottle is great. I love the way that's it's not perfectly straight. I like perfume bottles that look odd, good conversation starter sometimes! I try not to use this one too much, I don't like it running out. It's usually when I have no money to replace it! I tend to use it as my 'going out' scent like for nights out, dates, etc.

DKNY Be Delicious was another Christmas gift from my mum. She's good at this game! I think I was about 16 when I got this, so that was already 2 years of loving Flower but by god, Be Delicious came in and halved that crown! In case you didn't already know or couldn't tell from the picture, it's an apple scented perfume and I just love it. This is more my daytime scent. Quick wee spritz in the morning and I'm good to go. However, I love it that much, I tend to add a bit more as the day goes on.

As a younger teen, I found I only used two perfumes as well. These two being J.Lo's Glow and Beat by Rimmel. Again both presents from both my mums this time. My mother would get me Beat and my (step) mum would get Glow for me.

As much as I love knowing what scents I like and what to buy, I think I need to get myself out there more. Try something different! Any suggestions?

What scents did you wear as a teen? What do you wear now?
