Bourjois bundle

I wrote yesterday about the Rimmel bundle I got from TK Maxx, well at the same time I got this little set. I couldn't resist this, I've yet to achieve the perfect smoky eye so anything that will help me along the way! This cost £12.99 with an RRP of £21.50 so another fantastic saving!

Again I have to apologise for the pictures, this camera really doesn't like me. I need to get mine back from Sarah's soon! Anyways, onto the products!

To everyone who doesn't want to tilt their heads to ridiculous angles to see what these items are, I'll just tell you. From left to right (or top to bottom) we have, Volume Glamour Ultra Black mascara in shade 61 Ultra Black, Smoky Eyes Trio in shade 03 Mordoré Chic, Effect Smoky in shade 71 Smoked Brown and I also got a wee free gift with it, a sample size of Effect 3D mobile unfortunately it's not got a shade number or name on it, it's kind of a sandy, beigey type shade I'd say (of course I could be and probably am wrong)

I've not really tried that much brown eyeliner, I've grown up using black so it's a bit of a welcome change if I'm honest. Something different! I forgot to take a close up of the smudging brush but it's not sponge like most of them are these days, it's a little brush. I was a bit disappointed as I love the sponge tip idea, but I'll give it a go!

Again, I've not really used many shades like this, my shadow is usually very bright colours or non-existent, but I'm looking forward to seeing if I can create the intended smoky eye effect. Like the quad from the Rimmel bundle there is a wee guide on the back showing you how to achieve the smoky eye.

I have to admit, after opening the Rimmel mascara then opening this, I was a bit disappointed in this but I think that's only because I love bristle brushes so much that when I opened this I just thought 'oh no bristles' I'm not going to think about that when I try it though, open mind!

I'm not a huge fan of lipgloss, I tend to find it too gloopy and just plain eurgh but again I'll give it a go. Never know I might fall in love with it!

Yet again more fantastic savings! I really need to start shopping in TK Maxx more often, the savings are unbelievable!

What was the last big saving you made?

Lifelong product?

Miss Sporty Eye Pencil

So I first found this eyeliner as a teen, whilst feeling oh so grown up and make up shopping with my friends. I was drawn to it because it was cheap and black, little did I know, years later I'd still be using it!

I love this liner, love it! I've tried others and they have always come up short. The colour is solid, it goes on my waterline fantastically, I don't have to use too much pressure which I'm always wary about, being so close to my eyes.

I could forever sing the praises for this liner. I don't know why but despite loving the liner, I haven't tried any of their other products. Would you recommend any?

Do you have any products you still use after so many years? Let me know about them below!

The start of a beautiful relationship

Hello MAC! So I was actually given the Sheen Supreme Lipstick as a gift from a friend. That was a good day for post! The eyeliner gel was bought off ebay. I'll go into more details about both below.

Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Quite The Thing! - I haven't ever been in love with a lipstick before, but now that I know what it feels like, I don't want the feeling to ever leave!

My horrible phone pictures do this absolutely no justice at all (Must remember to pick up my camera next time I'm at my friend's house!) It's a rich plum colour with a blue kind of tinge to it. I thought this was really strange at first but after I tried it on, I loved it! I'm trying not to use it too much right now, I want to buy a lip brush, don't want to waste it too much by just slapping it on. So for now it's a special occasions lipstick.

The description on the MAC website for the Sheen Supreme range is :

Combining the colour impact of a lipstick with the shine sheen of a lipglass, Sheen Supreme creates the perfect hybrid - with no compromise. Ligtweight, non-sticky, slick to apply and comfortable to wear. This is a must-have for all those who have craved this kind of fusion.

I'd say that is spot on really. It goes on like a dream, however I do need to invest in a lip liner to wear with it as I find it bleeds out after a few hours wear. Don't know if it's just me that suffers from this or other wearers too. Let me know!

Now the eyeliner gel. I bought this off ebay as I said above but it cost me 99p and it wasn't advertised as being MAC which leads to believe it's probably a fake. That, or I got the best bargain ever on ebay!

I'm going to stick with it's probably a fake though. I'd never tried eyeliner gel before so thought I'd give it a bash, that's why I went to ebay first. I got a small brush with the gel as well, it's not pictured because I'm an idiot and forgot to add it.

I really like this stuff though! It goes on quite nicely and is a good bold colour. I find it doesn't last very long so I think I need to maybe invest in an eyelid primer see that will help it last that little bit longer.

I think the gel is a really good idea, it's going to last me longer than my ever faithful Miss Sporty Eye Pencil Magic or Collection (2000) Fast Stroke Eyeliner. I feel like I get a sharper look than the Miss Sporty and straighter lines than the Collection liner. I'm not too great at liquid liner, must practice!

Just need to get it to stay and this will probably be my go to liner.

Now for the questions to you! What is your favourite lipstick? Have you tried the Sheen Supreme Range? If so opinions? Eyeliner, what is your preferred method? I haven't tried the pens yet, have you? Any links to reviews on them would be greatly appreciated!
